18 February 2007, Sungkai: With the celebration of the Visit Malaysia 2007, Taman Rekreasi Air Panas (TRAP) once again create history by having Pesta Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Orang Asli for the tourist who visits the place.

The event was launched the Chairman of the Committee of Farming, Cultural and Art for the State of Perak, Dato Mohd Radhi Manan. Action Coucil for Tourism for the State of Perak(Majlis Tindakan Pelancongan Negeri Perak (MTPN)), Department of Welface for the aboginals (Jabatan Hal Ehwal Orang Asli (JHEOA)), Department of Information (Jabatan Penerangan) and a few others government agencies that made the event successful.

A few activities which are held included “Sewang” dance, blow pipe (menyumpit) show, cooking in bamboo demonstration, weaving (menganyam) and all sorts of handcrafted products of the orang asli. Information panels were setup in order to provide information so that the visitors will have a better understanding of the orang asli culture. A band was also invited to sing modern songs in orang asli language to make this celebration even more enjoyable.

This celebration has make people to understand the existents and importance of orang asli culture as one of the tourism product in this Taman Rekreasi and Malaysia in general.
