The annual Traditional Game Festival was held on the 29 th of April, 2007, at FELDA Residence Hot Springs, Sungai Klah, Sungkai, Perak. Kicking off at 8 am, it ended at 4 pm. Various promotional efforts were utilized in promoting this festival. Flyers were distributed to schools, motoring clubs and individuals. TRAP, as the organizers, promoted the festival on the ‘Voice of FELDA' Radio Show on 9 th of April, 2007. The event was carried out by En. Wan Mohammad, via live broadcast on Radio Perak on the 28 th of April, 2007, at 3.40 pm.
The efforts paid off when 267 participants took part in the various competitions organized. Participants turned up from Perak, Penang, Kedah and Kuala Lumpur .
Traditional Games offerred include Congkak, Gasing, Sumpit Sasaran, Dam Aji, Batu Seremban, Konda-Kondi, Galah Panjang, Sepak Raga Bulatan, Teng-Teng, Timang Barang, Tarik Tali and Teka Biji Labu.
Beside individual participants, members of the Serendah Kancil Car Club, Kuala Lumpur Motor Racing Club and other automobile clubs, participant in some of the traditional games. They participated in games requiring team effort such as Tarik Tali and Sepak Raga Bulatan.
En. Mustaffa, head of the Perak District Gasing Pangkah Club, kicked off the festivities with demonstration of individual skills of the club members. S.T. Band from Ipoh performed musical numbers entertaining the guest during the festival.
Winners of the competitions were given prizes such as goodie hampers and free 3 days and 2 nights stay vouchers. The vouchers, provided by Plantation Resorts Sdn. Bhd., are for free accommodation at FELDA Residence Tekam, FELDA Residence Port Dickson and FELDA Residence Trolak.
